We are a group of passionate dog lovers & veterinarians united in our mission to make nail care pain-free for both you and your pup! For years, we all struggled with trimming our dogs' nails - it was always such a stressful experience for us and our dogs!

Using the conventional nail clippers seemed like an outdated & painful option. We knew that there had to be a way to leverage modern technology & innovation to make the process easier & more humane.

We set out on a mission to create a product that would make at-home nail care easy, painless, and affordable for everyone. After talking to hundreds of dog owners & professionals, experimenting with numerous technologies, and developing dozens of prototypes, we finally created a product we were proud of.

Contrary to most dog nail trimmers on the market, LuckyTail uses a gentle, yet effective diamond bit to grind your dog's nails instead of cutting them. This is a much more gentle way of trimming your dog's nails and, as a bonus, it leaves them with a nice smooth finish - one that a dog would get in natural conditions by - scratching, climbing, and hunting all the time.

Also, it poses no risk of cutting the quick (the blood vessel inside the nail) and causing your dog pain. It's quiet, virtually vibration-free, and comes with a safety guard to prevent over-grinding.

Jennifer Rutherford
Jennifer Rutherford, a veterinarian and one of the founding members of LuckyTail, started the company with the mission to create a safe and easy way for dog owners to groom their dogs at home.

After years of seeing thousands of dogs in her practice, she realized that there's one thing all dog owners had in common: they loved their dogs, but they hated trimming their nails. She had achieved great results with the nail trimmer she had been using in her practice but it was expensive, heavy, and required a great deal of skill to operate.

Jennifer realized that there was a need for a safe and easy-to-use nail trimmer that could be used at home which led to the development of the LuckyTail Nail Grinder.
What's Next for LuckyTail?
Having come up with a way to once and for all make nail trimming a pain-free experience for dogs and their owners, we're now focused on expanding our product line to include other items that make life easier (and more fun) for dogs' parents!

Since we believe in natural solutions whenever possible, our current R&D efforts are focused on developing a line of all-natural dog products. This is how LuckyTail Natural was born.
